DURHAM — Join Diane Marie Gallant, Reiki master and teacher, for a discussion about Reiki on Wednesday, Feb. 13 at 6:30 p.m. at the Durham Public Library.
Reiki is a 90-year-old Japanese modality that provides energy healing and balancing through touch, on a physical, mental, emotional and spiritual level.
In this discussion you will learn about the history of Reiki, how it works, and its many uses. Today, Reiki is recognized as a complimentary alternative medicine therapy and is offered in many hospitals nationally, including our local hospitals.
It is often used for pain reduction, pre- and post-surgical conditions, detoxification from cancer treatments, depression, anxiety, pregnancy and birth stress reduction, plus many more conditions.
